Scott L. Sternberg

Biography

Scott Sternberg grew up along Highway 61, from New Orleans to Natchez, Miss., and joined the firm as an Associate in the fall of 2010.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Louisiana State University in 2006, serving as Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Reveille. After working in Washington, D.C. and as a freelance reporter, he continued on to receive his Juris Doctor and Diploma in Civil Law cum laude from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review, selected for the Moot Court Board and elected President of the Student Bar Association.

Scott’s practice involves general civil litigation, energy matters, successions litigation and admiralty and maritime.  He also represents clients before the Louisiana Board of Ethics and other governmental entities. Scott maintains a First Amendment practice and represents individuals and media outlets. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at Louisiana State University and Loyola University.

Scott is a former elected student-member of the LSU System Board of Supervisors and serves on the LSU Law Chancellor’s Young Alumni Leadership Council. He is also a member of the Meritas Leadership Institute class of 2013-2014. He is active in several community and alumni groups. He also enjoys LSU sports, the Saints and Hornets, snow skiing and Louisiana politics.
