Baldwin Haspel Burke & Mayer coastal and environmental law attorney Beaux Jones will be joining the Water Institute of the Gulf as General Counsel effective May 6, 2019.
In his new role, Beaux will help navigate the legal and policy challenges that local, national and international communities face while attempting to live better with water. He will also head the development of an applied legal policy research program that focuses on navigating the legal issues surrounding climate change, sea level rise and coastal land loss.
Beaux shared, “I became a lawyer because I wanted to contribute everything that I could to Louisiana’s existential coastal crisis. BHBM not only supported, but also fostered my passion to better equip my community and clients to prosper in our precarious coastal existence.”
We wish Beaux well in his new endeavor, know that he will succeed in his efforts and look forward to working together in the future.
